Top 10 Reasons why we are Bridging to GSWISE

Realignment is just one of several key core strategies that GSUSA has undertaken to build the nation’s premier leadership program for girls. Here are the top 10 reasons why this is a critical process.

10. Provide a national framework for a consistent Girl Scout experience.

9. Give everyone the ability to speak about how Girl Scouts impact girls.

8. Provide Girl Scouts with a unique definition of girl leadership.

7. Heighten the intentionality of the unique Girl Scout approach.

6. Allow for better age differentiation.

5. Provide a framework for consistent participation pathways.

4. Create fun, new products to interpret the experience of all ages.

3. Make the volunteers’ lives easier.

2. Make the case for Girl Scouting to potential partners, funders and the world at large.

1. Inspire a whole new generation of girls/adults to make Girl Scouts a part of their lives.

Bridging smaller, independent councils into larger high capacity regional or state-wide organizations will provide the resources necessary to deliver a consistent quality program for all girls regardless of their socioeconomic, cultural and racial backgrounds, residence, or age. It will also allow adults to support the mission in ways that custom-fit their needs, time, skills, and commitment.
