This Two Part course is our most comprehensive course for the camping experience. This course prepares leaders to take troops camping on council-owned and non-council-owned properties. The indoor prep covers outdoor program philosophy, policies, and standards and planning for the overnight. The outdoor camping portion includes fire-building, proper meal preparation, campfire activities, knots, knife safety, flag ceremony, and more.

Registration is required

 

Corresponding course is the At Camp session - April 17, 2010,  from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Camp winding River (Heron Hideaway)

Participation in both the Prep and the At Camp courses is required for credit.

 

Prep course 3-30-10 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Milwaukee Service Center

At Camp course 4-17-10 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.   Camp Winding River (Heron Hideaway)

The Camp Skills for Outdoors - Prep Class requires attendance at its accompanying camp session. 

Participation in both the Prep class and the At Camp course is required for credit.
