Volunteer-Led Day Camp Camper Council

Camper Council is a group of campers who want to make a difference at the volunteer-led day camps using leadership skills and experiences. Camper Council meets three times throughout the school year to help design the day camp t-shirt, develop camp program, and choose a theme for day camp.  If you want to join, download and return a completed application form.For questions, e-mail Lori .
Day Camp Meeting Dates, Times and Locations: (Dates and times have not been set for the 2009-2010 season)
NBSC – New Berlin Service Center (focus will be on the New Berlin Area day camps)
TFOPC – Trefoil Oaks Program Center (focus will be on the Racine & Kenosha area day camps)
 

Camper Council FAQs

How long will it last?
We meet three times between fall and next summer. Your term will be for one school year with the opportunity to join again next year.

Who will be at Camper Council meetings?
The Camper Council members will be teen girls who have been to camp at least once. We hope that the team will have a fair mix of Girl Scouts from different schools and areas. Lori or some of our college volunteers will be there to lead each meeting. Sometimes other staff or volunteers will visit.

What will we do?
• Meet and teambuild with the group
• Share favorite camp stories
• Create new camp programs
• Design the camp T-shirt
• Share program ideas in all camp areas
• Choose a camp theme for the following year
