What an exciting time to be a volunteer. New user-friendly materials, resources, and trainings are coming your way in the fall, so you can deliver a fun and impact-driven Girl Scout experience.

Until then, take advantage of the opportunities currently available including, basic orientation, level training (i.e. Daisy, Brownie, Junior and teen advisors), first aid and CPR, outdoor skills, and tent workshops. Training courses allow you to assume your role with greater degree of competence and confidence.

Training courses are open to all registered adult and Girl Scout Seniors who serve in a leadership position. At these trainings, you'll learn concepts you can apply to your Girl Scout volunteer position and daily life.

Girl Scouts of the USA policy states that, "Every adult volunteer
in Girl Scouting must be selected on the basis of qualifications for membership, ability to perform the job and willingness and availability to participate in training for it." (Leader's Digest, Blue Book of Basic Documents, 2006).

Most courses do not have a fee, but some require a fee that is due at registration. Spaces in these courses are reserved with payment.

 Registration is required for all trainings. Courses have a minimum enrollment of five participants. After the registration deadline, please call the council office to check course availability. Early registration is encouraged.
