Read, Sign, and Bring the following waiver to Camp Check-in: Climbing Information
We will be climbing during one of the evenings and then sleeping overnight at Adventure Rock Climbing Gym in Pewaukee, WI. Make sure to wear a shirt that can be tucked in and long shorts that come to your mid-thigh or sweatpants. This will help with comfort levels when you are in the climbing harness which fits around each upper leg and your waist.

Three -Four Other Things to Pack
  • Grungy clothes for the  cave
  • Flashlight
  • Head lamp- while in the cave you will want two sources of light, but only one that you carry in your hand.  If you do not have a head lamp camp will provide one.
  • Small overnight bag like a school backpack for your one night camping trip away from your unit.
Transportation
We will ride in a chartered school bus to get to Ledge View Nature Center near Chilton, WI. and Adventure Rock Climbing Gym in Pewaukee, WI.

Caving Information
At Ledge View Nature Centeryou will explore limestone caves and caverns formed over 100,000 years ago. Ledge View also offers hiking trails, an environmental education center, and a 60-foot observation tower.
You will get dirty crawling and squirming through the cool, damp caves, You will most likely get wet from dripping cave ceilings or cave floor puddles. Wear grungy clothes and shoes/boots (jeans and sweatshirt due to the cold temperatures of the cave) that you do not mind getting dirty. In the summer the cave temperatures are 42-56 degrees Fahrenheit.
