Saddle and Paddle
We are finalizing dates with horse ranches. Check back before your session to get the accurate horse ranch waiver in addition to our Girl Scout waiver. Both must be read, signed and brought to Camp Check-In:
What do I need to wear at the horse ranch?
Which horse will I get?
- Clothing: While you ride, you will need to wear long pants, like jeans, and sturdy shoes or boots with a defined 1/2 - 1 inch heel. These will help keep your legs and feet protected while at the ranch, while not allowing slippage in the stirrups.
- Bring a pair of shoes/boots with a 1/2 - 1 inch heel. Please no heels higher than one inch and no boots with lug soles.
- On your head: Helmets must also be worn at all times when working with the horses. These are provided by the ranch.
Each ranch we use has many horses and ponies, so the ranch staff can match horse size and temperament to each camper.
We will use a chartered school bus or a trained and qualified staff member may drive a 12 passenger van for transportation to the ranches.
Saddle and Paddle Late Night
For those of you registered for the Late Night session, we will sleep in a little longer and stay up a little later.
