Camp iGirl

Camp iGirl is where you come to put the ME in MEdia. For having only five letters, “media” is an awfully BIG word. People use it in trillions of ways, in gazillions of places, and there is so much of it to absorb and enjoy. Learn to rule your world while learning tons of new things about online media.

At Camp iGirl, using your new awareness of media, you can make the world a little better, a little more real…you can make the world’s story like your story! Your story. Your change.

Experience a college campus as you live the life of a college student for the week. Work with outstanding Alverno Faculty and students. Enjoy rooming with another Camp iGirl resident in the college dorms and exploring the campus. Meet and network with the inspiring women positively impacting Milwaukee during the mentor luncheon. Let your voice be heard and advocate for change using media.

Throughout the week, participate in other fun activities. Get moving with a Zumba class, volleyball and get your groove on at the pizza and dance party. Learn how to stay safe on the web and create the best online profile. Explore media careers with hands-on field trips. Cool off and try paddleboarding at Camp Alice Chester. The camp week will end with a parent program to showcase all of your hard work to family and friends.
