Alice Chester Center Facilities and Fees

Alice Chester Center (ACC) has a rich tradition of camping and programs for girls and adults. The center is 333 acres, and features frontage on two lakes. Located just 35 miles southwest of Milwaukee, ACC offers great facilities for day and overnight use.

To begin the reservation process for a program property, first check availability for the site and unit. Then complete and submit the Site Rental Interest form.

Alice Chester Center Lodge

Capacity: 150 total people
Fee for GSWISE Girl Scout troops: $105/day
Fee for other nonprofits: $158/day
Availability: September through May
Amenities: Commercial kitchen, dining room, program room, 2 fireplaces, 2 outdoor decks, heated and cooled year round. This building is available exclusively for day use, but groups can stay overnight at another facility and use the lodge during the day.

Chaparral

Indoor troop house
Capacity: 20 girls, 4 adults
Fee for GSWISE Girl Scout troops: $50/night; $90/2 nights
Fee for other nonprofits: $76/night
Availability: September through May
Amenities: Multipurpose room for dining/program and sleeping (bring sleep pads or air mattresses); leaders’ room (bunks sleep 4 adults); kitchen with stove, refrigerator with freezer and wash sink. Central heat and air conditioning. No running water. Picnic tables, fire scar, and latrines outdoors. Site is wooded and isolated from main camp. Access by gravel drive and separate gate. Outside latrine and hand water pump.

Sunset Prairie

Indoor troop house
Capacity: 16 girls, 6 adults
Fee for GSWISE Girl Scout troops: $60/night; $110/2 nights
Fee for other nonprofits: $91/night
Availability: September through May
Amenities: Girls’ dorm room (bunks sleeps 16); 3 leaders’ rooms with cots or bunks; flush toilets, hand sinks, shower and bath; Kitchen with stove and refrigerator with freezer; microwave. Dining/activity room with tables and benches for 24. Hot/cold running water and central heat. Picnic tables, flagpole and fire scar outdoors. Indoor flush toilets, shower and bath. Wheelchair accessible.

Robinhood

A-frame shelter, 7 per unit, sleeps 4 each
Capacity: 24 girls, 4 adults
Fee for GSWISE Girl Scout troops: $40/night; $70/weekend
Fee for other nonprofits: $60/night
Availability: Seasonal use, May, September & October
Amenities: Wooden cabin with windows and doors; no electricity, lights, or screens. Modern, covered kitchen shelter with open pavilion, picnic tables, fireplace, lights and refrigerator. Latrines with flush toilets, cold running water.

Trailblazer

A-frame shelter, 7 per unit, sleeps 4 each
Capacity: 24 girls, 4 adults
Fee for GSWISE Girl Scout troops: $40/night; $70/weekend
Fee for other nonprofits: $60/night
Availability: Seasonal use, May, September & October
Amenities: Wood shelter; no electricity, lights, or screens. Covered kitchen shelter. Latrines and cold running water.


Frontier

Capacity: 24 girls, 6 adults

Amenities: Wood roofs and decks with canvas sides; cots and mattresses provided; covered kitchen shelter with refrigerator and electric lights; latrines; and cold running water.


Pathfinder

A-frame platform tents, 5 per unit, sleeps 6 each
Capacity: 24 girls, 6 adults
Fee for GSWISE Girl Scout troops: $40/night; $70/weekend
Fee for other nonprofits: $60/night
Availability: Seasonal use, May, September & October
Amenities: Wood roofs and decks with canvas sides; cots and mattresses provided; covered kitchen shelter; open pavilion with fire place; lights; and refrigerator. Bathroom has lights, electricity, flush toilets, and cold running water.


Walden

A-frame shelter: 3 per unit; sleeps 6 each
Capacity: 12 girls, 6 adults or 18 total people
Fee for GSWISE Girl Scout troops: $30/night; $50/weekend
Fee for other nonprofits: $45/night
Availability: Seasonal use, May, September & October
Amenities: Wood roofs and decks with wooden sides; cots and mattresses provided; kitchen shelter with lights, electricity, and refrigerator. Pit toilets and cold running water.

An updated shower house is located at the Alice Chester Center site. It houses twelve private shower stalls with flush toilets. Hand and hair dryers. There is no fee for use when renting another site at camp.

The property is closed to troop camp during the summer to facilitate summer camp programming. Camp is closed between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
