Chinook Program Center Facilities and Fees

Located in Waukesha, this 78-acre facility is an oasis among subdivisions and farmland consisting of varied habitat, including woods, fields and wetlands. Chinook Program Center is home to year round program events and troop camping as well as several weeks of day camp each summer.

To begin the reservation process for a program property, first check availability for the site and unit. Then complete and submit the Site Rental Interest form.

Troop House

Capacity:  30 people
Fee for GSWISE Girl Scout troops: $80/night or $150/2 nights
Fee for other nonprofits:  $121/night
Availability:  Year Round
Amenities:  Central heating, gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, cooking equipment, place setting for 30 people, tables, chairs, indoor bathrooms, mattresses, two leader rooms with six beds, telephone, outdoor canopy with fire scar, and firewood. Handicap accessible.


Activity Station

Capacity:  30 people
Fee for GSWISE Girl Scout troops: $70/night or $130/2 nights
Fee for other nonprofits:  $106/night
Availability:  September through May
Amenities:  Central heating, electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, cooking equipment, 30 place settings, tables, chairs, indoor bathrooms, indoor fireplace, mattresses, leader room with four beds, telephone, fire scar, and firewood. 


Tent Cabin Unit

Tent cabins:  3 cabins, each sleeps 6
Capacity:  18 people
Fee for GSWISE Girl Scout troops: $30/night or $50/2 nights
Fee for other nonprofits:  $45/night
Availability: Seasonal-May through October
Amenities:  Three cabins have three bunk beds per cabin, shelter with lights and electricity, picnic tables, firewood, fire scar, cookout equipment, outdoor water source, latrine, access to emergency shelter and telephone.


Ridge Site

Open shelter for day use or support building for tent camping
Capacity: 40 people
Fee for GSWISE Girl Scout troops: $15 night/day use
Fee for other nonprofits:  $23.00 night/day use
Availability:  Seasonal-May through October
Amenities:  Open shelter with fireplace, outside fire scar, firewood, latrine, large water cooler, picnic tables, and emergency shelter.  Can be used for overnight camping, with Eureka tents (maximum of eight) and cookout equipment included in the fee. A tent certified adult is required if using council tents.


Tent Site

Fee includes Eureka tents
Capacity:  20 people
Fee for GSWISE Girl Scout troops: $15/night
Fee for other nonprofits:  $23/night
Availability:  Seasonal-May through October
Amenities:  Includes shelter with electricity, picnic tables, fire scar, firewood, cookout equipment, latrine, outside water source, and emergency shelter. A tent certified adult is required if using council tents.
