| One of the purposes of the Girl Scout cookie program is to help Girl Scouts earn money for their troop activities and to support our council programs and properties. The program is designed to teach girls budgeting, marketing, goal setting and money management skills. All money earned through the cookie program stays and assists girls in this area. The profit earned by the council minus baker costs, troop proceeds and girl recognition costs is used to subsidize program and property costs, financial assistance and leader trainings. Profit from the cookie sale allows our council to continue to provide a high quality Girl Scout program. |

| Troops earn proceeds on the packages sold based on the selling average of the girls participating in the sale. The “per girl” selling average is determined by taking the total number of packages sold by the troop and dividing by the number of girls participating in the sale. See your troop cookie manager if you need to purchase additional cookies to help raise this per girl average. |
