Troop Overnight Events
Summer Troop Overnight Events
Whether you are a Girl Scout Daisy or an Ambassador—whether you’re
coming with a troop or with an adult chaperone, Camp Silver Brook has
a summer overnight event for you!
Become a master paddler, jump up on horseback, get messy in the caves or just come for camp fun! Our trained staff will keep you and your girls safe while providing fantastic programming. Plus, each event includes camp classics: a campfire, s'mores, and an optional night hike.
You will receive your group's sleeping assignment prior to your arrival at camp. Assignments are made based on event capacity, age of participants, group sizes, and other factors. Specific requests cannot be granted, unless for medical purposes. Get more details on our facilities.
Your group is responsible for providing its own food. Confirmations will include a list of what cooking materials are provided. Check out our Pinterest for recipe ideas!
Resources and Training
Training is not required to bring your troop camping. Camp staff will be available to help with fire building if necessary. Some of our events (Let’s Go Camping, Outdoor Skill Builder 1 and Outdoor Skill Builder2) provide training for girls and adults alike. Adults receive credit for completing Outdoor Skill Training during these events. If you are not attending one of these events and would like to receive credit for the training contact the camp staff prior to your arrival.
Confirmations will include a list of what groups are responsible for, along with a packing list. The Planning the Overnght Experience-Independent Study Guide is a great resource, especially with meal planning.
