Planned Giving
Your planned gift ensures that today’s and tomorrow’s girl can be a Girl Scout

Each generation of girls faces new challenges, new technologies, new moral issues, and new opportunities.
For decades, in good times and bad, Girl Scouting has been there for each and every girl with friendship and activities that help her build courage, confidence, and character, and show her how to make our world a better place. You can ensure that Girl Scouting is ready to help future generations of girls to overcome tomorrow’s challenges and embrace tomorrow’s opportunities by including Girl Scouts in your estate plans today. Planned Gift options include:

BEQUESTS    A bequest provides ongoing and future support to Girl Scouts. Many of us are not in a position to make the kinds of gifts we would like during our lifetime. But often, there is room, after family and friends, to remember Girl Scouting in our wills.

LIFE INSURANCE     Make Girl Scouts the beneficiary of an existing policy or purchase a new policy which names the council as both owner and beneficiary.

RETIREMENT PLAN BENEFITS    Name Girl Scouts  primary or contingent beneficiary on retirement programs such as IRAs, annuities, Keoghs, 401(k) plans and other pension and profit sharing plans. Any funds remaining in these accounts at your death will benefit area Girl Scouts.

CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITY
A charitable annuity allows you to make a sizable gift to Girl Scouts and still receive income for life. You receive an immediate charitable contribution tax deduction and Girl Scouts later receives the remaining assets of the annuity.
Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT)   These trusts allow you to make a gift to Girl Scouts and still receive income for life. You receive an immediate charitable contribution tax deduction and Girl Scouts later receives the remaining assets of the trust.
POOLED INCOME FUNDS    Join with others by adding your gift to a trust maintained by Girl Scouts of the USA. You’ll share in income from the fund for life and, upon your death, your investment in the fund is removed and distributed to Girl Scouts.
We encourage you to consult with your attorney, accountant, estate or financial planner when considering a planned gift to the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast.
