Tee Up for Girls
Area golfers are asked to Tee Up for Girls to benefit Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast on Monday, June 30, 2008, at Meadowbrook Country Club in Racine. As one of the most popular events in the area, the 23rd annual Girl Scout golf outing will be nothing less than spectacular!
Entry fee is $150 per golfer. This fee includes club valet, green fees for 18 holes of golf and cart, lunch, dinner, awards, and a silent auction. The four-person scramble format will begin with a shotgun start at noon.

Growing Strong Breakfast
More than 300 community leaders, philanthropists and friends of Girl Scouting gathered at the Country Springs Hotel in November for the 4th annual Girl Scouts Growing Strong Breakfast. Guests heard inspirational stories from the girls themselves, who were an integral part of the event, and watched a poignant video that showcased how area Girl Scouts are making the world a better place. The event is scheduled to take place again in November of 2008.

Live the Promise, Change the World
Last year, Girl Scouts celebrated the birthday of Juliet Gordon Low by hosting a signature event called Live the Promise, Change the World. More than 300 breakfast guests were educated and entertained by keynote speaker, Dr. Jo Ann Deak, author of Girls Will Be Girls: Raising Confident and Courageous Daughters. Dr. Deak emphasized that Girl Scouting is important because it helps provide girls with opportunities to stretch and take healthy risks. This first-time event was met with such enthusiasm from volunteers and guests alike that plans are underway to hold the event again in the first quarter of 2009.
