Training for Volunteers

Saturday Training Events

New or returning troop leaders needing Council 101 and/or Grade Level Leadership Essentials training are invited to register for our last Saturday morning date.

  • October 25 at Boerner Botanical Gardens-Hales Corners

Check in will start at 7:30 a.m. if you register for an 8:00 a.m. session and 10:00 a.m. if you register for a 10:30 a.m. session. Register online or call 800-565-4475.


It's Her Journey - Help Create It!
Adult Enrichment Event

You have asked for more journey resources beyond the grade level Leadership Essentials trainings so we are planning a great morning of sessions that will help you deliver the fun journey program to girls. Exciting sessions are being planned with a give-a-way and an optional lunch for networking and Q&A. Optional bus transportation provided.

Required Training for All Volunteers Working with Troops/Groups of Girls

Council 101: Welcome to Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast. This must be taken before meeting with the girls in your troop/group. View the training dates with the link above.

If you cannot attend the classroom session, Council 101 on line training is an option.


Required Training for Troop Leaders

Leadership Essentials: In addition to Council 101, all registered adult volunteers in troop/group leadership positions (01 or 02) are required to complete the grade level specific Leadership Essentials courses. View the training dates with the link above.

If you cannot attend a classroom training, GSUSA offers an Girl Scouting 101  (Leadership Essentials Training). It is available in English and Spanish.

Additional Training for Other Volunteers
Volunteering for Girl Scout Series and Events

Available in English and Spanish.This is a 25-minute, self paced, streamlined online orientation to Girl Scouting. 

After logging on to the Volunteering for Girl Scout Series and Events training, use the password 'volunteer'. For council name select "Wisconsin Southeast".  

NOTE: Volunteers in the troop, camp, virtual, and travel pathways should watch Girl Scouting 101. Volunteers in the series and event pathways should watch Volunteering for Girl Scout Series and Events.
