The Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens provide year round hand-on plant science and environmental education programs for Girl Scouts. Our programs align with several Journeys and badges. We welcome the opportunity to customize programs to meet the badge and journey criteria you are interested in working on.
Lac Lawrann Conservancy
300 Schmidt Rd. West Bend, WI 53095
Lac Lawrann Conservancy is a 137-acre nature preserve. It is a vast expanse of water, sky, wetlands, native hardwood forest, red pine plantation, tall grass prairie, and glacial landscapes. The Conservancy serves as refuge to over 300 species of plants, over 200 species of birds, and a wide variety of mammals as well as reptiles and amphibians.

Riveredge Nature Center consists of 370 acres of natural sanctuary, including forests, prairies and wetlands. The diverse habitats provide a perfect setting for girls to explore the natural world through inquiry-based environmental education.

Waukesha County Recycling is offering grant funded free programming for individually registered girls and troops in Waukesha County. These classes are fun as well as informative for Daises through Juniors.

Wildlife in Need Center
The Wildlife In Need Center (WINC) offers educational programming that is designed for flexibility of the presentation to various age groups. Also included in the programs is information about wildlife and human interactions, species identification, natural history, and rehabilitation of Southeastern Wisconsin wildlife.
