We are finalizing dates with horse ranches. Check back before your session to get the accurate horse ranch waiver in addition to our Girl Scout waiver. Both must be read, signed and brought to Camp Check-In along with any additional waivers listed:
Three Other Things to Pack
- Grungy clothes for the cave
- Head lamp- while in the cave you will want two sources of light, but only one that you carry in your hand. If you do not have a head lamp camp will provide one.
At Ledge View Nature Center
you will explore limestone caves and caverns formed over 100,000 years ago. Ledge View also offers hiking trails, an environmental education center, and a 60-foot observation tower.
You will get dirty crawling and squirming through the cool, damp caves, You will most likely get wet from dripping cave ceilings or cave floor puddles. Wear grungy clothes and shoes/boots (jeans and sweatshirt due to the cold temperatures of the cave) that you do not mind getting dirty. In the summer the cave temperatures are 42-56 degrees Fahrenheit.
We will use a chartered school bus or a trained and qualified staff member may drive a 12 passenger van for transportation to the ranches, caving or other programs.
