Dear Girl Scout Families and Volunteers,

At Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast (GSWISE), there is nothing we take more seriously than the safety and well-being of our girls, volunteers, and council staff. GSWISE will continue to take all possible and appropriate measures to ensure girls have a safe, fun, one-of-a-kind experience at Girl Scouts – including opportunities like our new Girl Scouts at Home virtual leadership experience!

While there are still many details to finalize, we thank our members and supporters for your continued patience while our council has worked to take important steps necessary to minimize exposure to COVID-19 and its spread while doing our best to continue to provide a quality Girl Scout experience.

We strongly encourage our Girl Scout community to follow all official Girl Scout, local, county, state, and federal guidance, including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines for safe and healthy practices. While service unit and troop sponsored events (depending on state and local guidance) are now permited, let's all work together to keep our communities safe while continuing to provide girls with exciting leadership-building experiences. To learn more, please visit our guidelines for in-person troop meetings.

  • In-Store Shopping NOW Available (at this time MILWAUKEE location ONLY)! We are excited to welcome our Girl Scouts back into our Milwaukee retail shop - no appointment needed. As we are committed to our staff and members' safety, we will continue to observe social distancing practices and require face makes.

Helpful Links

We will continue to closely monitor official local, county, state, and federal guidance, and will be prepared to disseminate new, relevant information to our members and their families as it becomes available.

Please remember that the best protection is self-protection and self-monitoring, especially in this flu season. The CDC has also put together this helpful handout on what you can do to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Safety at In-Person Events

We are thrilled to begin offering in-person events. Please know we are taking necessary precautions to ensure your safety and the safety of our staff and event volunteers while participating in council events, including:

  • Masks will be required indoors
  • Temperatures will be taken during event check-in
  • Event capacities will be reduced as needed to observe 6 feet distancing guidelines
  • Unless necessary, girls will not share program supplies, if sharing is necessary, supplies/equipment will be sanitized between uses
  • Wipes and sanitizer are available in every room
  • We have established enhanced cleaning/disinfecting guidelines
  • We encourage registrants who feel ill on the day of the event to stay home, we can make exceptions and provide refunds

Due to the ever-evolving COVID-19 guidelines, registrants impacted by event changes or cancellations will be contacted. Current detailed safety guidelines for in-person events will be outlined in your confirmation.
