In memory of our sisters who lost their lives last Saturday, Wisconsin Girl Scouts are encouraged to take action in their community during the month of November.
The Wisconsin Girl Scout Alliance, comprised of Wisconsin Girl Scout councils, invites Girl Scouts across the state to perform service projects in their community in honor of Haylee, Jayna, Autumn and Sara Jo, who passed away while giving service on Saturday, November 3. By doing what Girl Scouts do best, we’ll be honoring their legacy in lasting and meaningful ways.
HOW IT WORKS:
Troops, individual Girl Scouts, service units and membership areas will determine and coordinate a service project that will work best for them. By performing service projects locally, Girl Scouts will be spreading the impact of the important work we do, in the communities we each call home.
We have a created a Wisconsin Girl Scouts Days of Action Facebook event where we will share your service projects and photos of your impact. You are invited to post them directly on the discussion tab, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In December, the Wisconsin Alliance will share photos and highlights with our Girl Scout sisters in the Northwestern Great Lakes Council to show our support.
NOTE: If your Girl Scouts cannot get together this month, please know that ANY DAY of service is the right day to do a good deed in tribute to our sisters.
