Identify a problem they want to do something about

Journeys
She wants to explore new things, connect with friends and her community, and make a difference in the world. And she’ll be able to do just that when she and her troop experience a Girl Scout Journey.
She’ll team up with friends to:

Come up with a sustainable solution that will make a difference

Create a team plan to make that solution a reality

Put their plan into action

Talk about what they’ve learned and what they’ll do next
There are four series of Journeys to choose from at every grade level and three new STEM Journeys for Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, and Multilevel K-5 troops:
It’s Your Story—Tell It!
This Journey explores important themes such as
developing a strong sense of self, discovering the benefits of a
balanced diet and physical activity, navigating healthy relationships,
identifying ways to enhance self-expression, and promoting well-being
and confidence in others.
Activities and discussions woven into each level get girls thinking critically about the media, including its portrayal of girls and women. The activities are designed to promote age-appropriate discussion on topics including marketing tactics aimed at young consumers, the media’s narrow definition of beauty, and the portrayal of relationships between girls and women.
It’s Your Planet—Love It!
In this Journey, girls learn about environmental topics
such as clean water and air, noise pollution, global warming, soil
contamination, and agricultural processes. Each Journey is packed with
current environmental information and offers ways to improve life for
everyone on the planet.
It’s Your World—Change It!
This Leadership Journey encourages girls of all ages to
make the world a better place and make new friends along the way.
Whether it’s planting a garden, painting a mural, or launching a
letter-writing campaign, Girl Scouts at every level experience unique
leadership and advocacy challenges and discover what it means to be a
leader who makes a difference in the world.
NEW! Outdoor Journey
Anchored by the Troop Camping badge, this new Journey will strengthen girls’ outdoor skills and ignite their interest in environmental stewardship. Girls will also complete a Take Action project.
NEW! STEM Journeys
Designed to increase girls’ aptitude and interest in STEM topics and fields, these new Journeys will introduce girls to a wide range of skill-building opportunities in areas like robotics, programming, and citizen science. Available for Daisy through Junior, and Multi-level (K-5).
- Engineering | Think Like an Engineer: Girls learn how to think like a designer by participating in hands-on design challenges and completing a Take Action project.
- Computer Science | Think Like a Programmer: Girls learn how programmers solve problems by participating in interactive computational-thinking activities and completing a Take Action project.
- Outdoor STEM | Think Like a Citizen Scientist: Girls practice the scientific method by undertaking a citizen science project that involves making observations, collecting data, and working with scientists. Girls also complete a Take Action project.
She’ll pick the Journey topic that interests her most, whether it’s caring for animals, helping others get healthy and fit, spreading kindness, saving the planet, taking a stand for girls, creating community—or any other issue that’s really important to her.
As she goes on her Journey, she’ll earn awards to put on her uniform. They’ll let others know about the awesome things she’s done—and remind her of what she accomplished and the fun she had along the way.
