Volunteer Support

Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast has membership staff assigned to each geographic area in the council. A membership manager helps recruit and support volunteers in assigned areas. Experienced, trained volunteers are also available in each area to help support troop leaders. Throughout the school year, troop leaders meet with other volunteers in their service area.

Service Area Meetings
Throughout the school year, Troop Leaders meet with other volunteers in their service areas. At service area meetings, Troop Leaders:
  • Discuss council and local events and service opportunities;
  • Share best ideas and practices with one another;
  • Offer and promote opportunities for multiple troop activities that may help fulfill earned recognition or bridging requirements;
  • Receive brief, informal training; and
  • Receive items ordered from the Resource Center.
All troops should be represented at service area meetings by a leader or a member of the troop committee.
