Exciting & free STEMfest lab activity just announced!
Girls in grades K-5 attending STEMfest the afternoon of Saturday, November 7 have an opportunity to participate in Electric Lemons- a free one hour lab activity focused on renewable energy. Through fun hands-on activities, girls will learn about various forms of energy, the importance of generating different energy sources, and how wasteful energy can harm the earths ecosystems. Girls will experiment using circuits and lemons to try and power a light bulb--is this even possible?
These fun activities will be led by a group of Marquette Naval ROTC students. Lab Activities will run from noon - 1 p.m.; 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.; and 3 - 4 p.m. Space is limited and is on a first come, first served basis. Please contact Sara Reeder at 262-598-2209 or sreeder@gswise.org to register for these free unique lab activities.
