It doesn’t take a lot to be involved and make Girl Scouts a family affair—and the benefits are huge. Here are just a few ways you can make this year the best yet.
- After each meeting, have your Girl Scout share with you what they did and learned. They'll love being the expert, and you’ll probably even learn a thing or two! Plus, talking about their experience will help all that new info stick even more.
- Team up to tackle some fun Girl Scout activities together at home. Video tutorials make getting started a snap.
- Work together to help your Girl Scout earn the special Cookie Entrepreneur Family pin.
- Check out family camping options at Girl Scout camp or offer to join your troop’s camping trip as a volunteer.
- Step up for the troop! Whether you want to organize weekly carpools, take pics at events, organize a cookie booth, or lead Girl Scouts in some badge activities, tell your troop leader exactly how you’d like to help. Offering “whatever you need” is nice, but troop leaders are often too busy to think up or assign roles to family members. Being specific about how you can contribute will be 100% appreciated!
