Opportunities for Older Girl Scouts
There's so much to explore as an older Girl Scout. You can travel around the United States and beyond, be a role model to younger Girl Scouts, use your leadership skills to make positive change in our community, make the world a better place through Highest Awards projects, and so much more! Your possibilities are endless.
The Girl Scout Leadership Network (generally between 15-30 Girl Scouts) serves as an advisory group to the CEO and represents the “voice of Girl Scouts”. Members provide perspective on issues facing Girl Scouts today, and participate in enriching topics of interest with professional guest speakers, all while developing your leadership skills. Girl Scouts attend 3–4 evening meetings over one school year. The annual deadline to apply is September 1.
Applications are open now for the 2022-2023 Girl Scout year! Applications will be reviewed beginning September 1; late submissions may be considered prior to the first meeting until all positions are filled. Fill out your application now.
Looking for a unique leadership experience? Be the voice of Girl Scouts as you help Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast make strategic decisions about the organization in order to fulfill our long-term mission. Each year, GSWISE accepts applications for the position of Girl Scout board member to serve on the Board of Directors for a one year term with full voting privileges beginning with the spring Annual Meeting. Up to two Girl Scout board members are elected annually to attend 4–6 board meetings to discuss and vote on matters that affect GSWISE. They work alongside the Chief Executive Officer and other adult board members who are community and business leaders in our jurisdiction. You must be a registered Girl Scout, high school sophomore or above, and 14 years old or older by the time the term begins in April. Applications are posted beginning in January.
