How to earn the Girl Scout Bronze Award
- Let our council know you want to earn it
- Build your Girl Scout Junior team
Explore your community
Decide on a project to work on
Make a plan of action
Put your plan in motion
- Spread the word
It all starts here. Juniors team up with fellow Girl Scouts to explore their community, discover a need or issue they care about, and work together to address it. It’s a chance to create a plan and make an impact on the community they live in.

Several community organizations support youth-led projects:
Bronze Award Projects are approved by the adult (troop leader, project advisor, or parent/guardian) working alongside the Girl Scout(s) after making sure the project plan meets all required guidelines. Submit one Final Report per project to GSWISE upon project completion (but no later than Sept. 30 after Girl Scouts complete 5th grade).
Bronze leads to Silver, and Silver to Gold! Or complete one Leadership Award or Journey (before Journeys retire in Oct. 2026) to get started.
